Outputs Target Audience:The target audience for this conference was global leaders in agriculture (including, but not limited to, research scientists, policymakers, agribusiness leaders, and environmentalists), as well as members of the general public. Changes/Problems:The only challenge faced during the conduct of this conference was that one of the invited speakers from Ethiopia was unable to obtain a visa to enter the United States. However, this speaker provided a pre-recorded presentation, which was shown during the event, and a member of his research team was able to participate in the question-and-answer session. What opportunities for training and professional development has the project provided?This conference was an excellent professional development opportunity. In addition to livestock producers and members of the general public, several United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foreign Agriculture Service (FAS) Scientific Exchange Program (SEP) Fellows participated in this conference How have the results been disseminated to communities of interest?This event was live-streamed. What do you plan to do during the next reporting period to accomplish the goals?

Impacts What was accomplished under these goals?
The overall goal of the project (to address the current state of technology for production of animal-source foods & avenues through which animal agriculture can make significant and sustainable contributions to the reduction of global hunger and malnutrition) was met. Conference attendees listened to world-renowned speakers and then engaged in active dialogue regarding how modern agricultural biotechnologies are being used for the sustainable production of animal-source foods and consequently contributing to the reduction of global hunger and malnutrition.
