Non Technical Summary
The Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University (GMU) initiated a series of international conferences on agro-geoinformatics with partial support from USDA under the International Science and Education (ISE) Program. By now, a total nine conferences have been organized with the sponsorship and supporting from a great number of organizations and individuals. The forthcoming 10th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2022) will be will be held jointly with the 42nd Canadian Symposium of Remote Sensing (CSRS) on July 11-14, 2022 in Quebec City, Canada, organized by ISAM (actually CSISS/GMU) and Canadian Remote Sensing Society. We propose that NIFA becomes a sponsoring agency with $35,000 financial support.

Goals / Objectives
The main goal of this project is to hold the Tenth International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2022) and to carry out the conference related publications. The Center for Spatial Information Science and Systems (CSISS) of George Mason University (GMU) initiated a series of international conferences on agro-geoinformatics with partial support from USDA under the International Science and Education (ISE) Program. Project Methods
International conference.

Progress 07/15/22 to 12/04/24

Outputs
Target Audience:Professionals, scientists and students working in agriculture-relative areas for research, applications, and technology development. Changes/Problems: Nothing Reported What opportunities for training and professional development has the project provided?General platform for work and idea exchanges. Many participants and presenters are students. How have the results been disseminated to communities of interest?Presentations during the meeting; Conference proceedings; Special issue for the International Journal of Applied Earth Observation and Geoinformation journal What do you plan to do during the next reporting period to accomplish the goals? Nothing Reported

Impacts
What was accomplished under these goals? The 12th International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2024) attracted about 60 paid participants. We estimate about 100 participants to the meeting.

Progress 07/15/23 to 07/14/24

Outputs
Target Audience:The target audiences are professionals and students working or interested in fields related to Agro-Geoinformatics. Changes/Problems:A no-cost extension with budget change will be sent to NIFA soon. The remaining funds will beused for supporting Agro-Geoinformatics 2024. What opportunities for training and professional development has the project provided? We used the NIFA funds to support 2 scientists (major organizers) from George Mason University to participate the conference. How have the results been disseminated to communities of interest? The conference attracted about 200participants. What do you plan to do during the next reporting period to accomplish the goals? We have some funds left even afterAgro-Geoinformatics 2023, and plan to use the remaining funds to support Agro- Geoinformatics 2024. A second time no-cost extension request will be sent to NIFA very soon.

Impacts
What was accomplished under these goals? With the first no-cost extension, we palnned to use the funds to support the same sereis in 2023.We reached the main and only goal: to successfully to hold the Eleventh International Conference on Agro-Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2023).

Progress 07/15/22 to 07/14/23

Outputs
Target Audience:The project is for supporting the Tenth International Conference on Agro-Informatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2022). The audience include researchers from both industry and academia, university faculty members, and graduate students, interested in agriculture information science. Those audiences come from both abroad and within the United States. Changes/Problems:A no-cost extension with budget change was requested and was approved by NIFA. The remaining funds will be used for supporting Agro- Geoinformatics 2023. What opportunities for training and professional development has the project provided? We used the NIFA funds to support 2 scientists from George Mason University to participate the conference. We also use the funds to pay the registration fees for some of selected scientists/graduate students. How have the results been disseminated to communities of interest? The conference was held jointly with 43rd Canadian Symposium on Remote Sensing and attracted more than 300 participants together. What do you plan to do during the next reporting period to accomplish the goals? We have some funds left from the Agro-Geoinformatics 2022, and plan to use the remaining funds to support Agro- Geoinformatics 2023. The request hasbeen approved by NIFA.

Impacts
What was accomplished under these goals? We reached the main and only goal: to successfully to hold the Tenth International Conference on Agro- Geoinformatics (Agro-Geoinformatics 2022).
