Non Technical Summary
As a member of the NSRC institutional partnership, SUNY ESF (ESF) will partcipate on the executive committee (EC) and management committee (MC). ESF will work with NSRC management team to solicit, select, fund and administer research projects across the Northern Forest region that will adress the NSRC mission. Specifically, ESF will colloborate with its partners to achieve the following objectives:The EC and MC will collaborate to identify individuals to serve on the external advisory commitee (EAC). The EAC will provide input on specific research themes.Members of the EAC, EC and MC will meet in person or remotely to identify these themes well in advance of the intended start dates for selected projects (6-12 months).The MC will draft the annual RFP for EC approval and will then circulate the approved RFP as widely aspossible in the four-state region.The MC will recieve all submitted pre-proposals and will coordinate a review of all pre-preposals with the primary intent to provide rapid feedback to the Principal Investigators (PIs) regarding the likely competitiveness of their proposal relative to the current RFP.Awarded Start Date: 8/1/2021Sponsor: University of Vermont
