Goals / Objectives
1. Process, assemble and validate existing functional genomics and annotation data in cattle; 2. Identify useful functional annotation information using US dairy genomics and phenomics database; 3. Apply functional genomics and annotation information to improve cattle GWAS and genomic selection.
Project Methods
UMD and ARS scientists propose to process, assemble and validate existing functional genomics and annotation data in cattle. After identifying useful functional annotation information using US dairy genomics and phenomics database, they will apply functional genomics and annotation information to improve cattle genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and genomic selection.
