Goals / Objectives
To use the genomic tools developed in CucCAP1 to incorporate disease resistance into cucurbit crop varieties.
Project Methods
In this proposed project we will combine research efforts with ARS and University Scientists at Cornell, Michigan State University, North Carolina State University, Wisconsin, and University of Georgia to use genomic technologies and molecular markers developed in CucCAP1 to incorporate disease resistance gene loci into the genome background of watermelon and melon varieties.
