Goals / Objectives
Identify high yielding lines and genetic introgressions from G. soja and G. tomentella to improve the yield of soybean cultivars.
Project Methods
Analyze data of two yield QTL mapping populations to identified yield genes transferred from G. tomentella to soybean. Produce additional experimental soybean lines derived from perennial Glycine. Analyze data to identify introgressions from G. soja in regions of selective sweeps. Analyze data to identify introgressions from G. soja associate with high yield. Conduct whole genome sequencing and assembly of a stable G. max x G. tomentella derived line, 12ST4-5.
