Goals / Objectives
Serve in a scientific review capacity as the Editor in Chief (EIC) of the journal entitled ⿿Critical Reviews in Environmental Science & Technology⿝ (CREST), overseeing and reviewing the technical quality and scientific soundness of review articles that focuses on all aspects of environmental science and technology.
Project Methods
The EIC oversees the technical and intellectual content of CREST by supervising the review process of submitted manuscripts. In particular, the EIC uses an electronic submission and review system on the internet to delegate submitted manuscripts to the editorial board. He oversees the review process by ensuring that the editorial board obtains in-depth and timely reviews from qualified peer scientists and works with authors to make needed revisions. Although the editorial board makes recommendations on the suitability of a manuscript for publication, the EIC has the finally decision on whether or not manuscripts are acceptable for publication in CREST. In addition, the EIC works with the publisher and editorial board to define the journalâ¿¿s aims, policies, editorial coverage, solicits new contributions and special issues, and in recruiting members for the editorial board.
