Goals / Objectives
To provide information on tillage operations, fertilizer, pesticide, and planting rates, irrigation timing and amounts and other pertinent crop production activities. Cooperator also agrees to allow installation by ARS of GPS unit on combine with yield monitor and provide access to yield monitor data for the fields of mutual interest.
Project Methods
The Cooperator will make all management decisions and perform all of the crop production operations. ARS scientists will collect all the necessary data from various fields of the Cooperator. Areas of scientific interest include (but are not limited to): Soil, fertility, evapotranspiration, irrigation management, remote sensing, weed management, and crop yields. Particular research studies for each year, will be discussed and mutually agreed upon by both parties prior to the initiation of any field work on the Cooperator's property.
