Goals / Objectives
The proposed research will identify soybean varieties and germplasm that are resistant to soybean rust.
Project Methods
U.S. soybean varieties and exotic germplasm will be evaluated for rust resistance under field conditions in Brazil and at the FDWSRU BSL-3 Containment Facility. Agronomic and disease data will be collected from field trials in Brazil, and disease ratings will be recorded following inoculation with the collection of soybean rust isolates at the FDWSRU BSL-3 Containment Facility.
