This was done through a work-study program between CABNR and the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDOA). In addition this program provided needed paid jobs for CABNR students within their major field of study. PARTICIPANTS: 6 CABNR students participated in this work study program TARGET AUDIENCES: The major target audience for this project was students within CABNR. An article describing the project with interviews of students who participated in the project will be included in the CABNR quarterly newsletter which is disseminated to all current CABNR students, CABNR alumni and CABNR stakeholders. Impacts
NDOA hired 6 CABNR students. Hired students were exposed to the numerous fields encompassed by NDOA and agriculture as a whole, ranging from the environment to molecular biology. Students gained real world experience in their chosen field of study, and were paid to perform work within those areas. Students thus gained further experience in applying their academic knowledge to real word situations.
