Goals / Objectives
1. To determine whether feeding different dietary oils will affect the number or severity of gastric ulcers in horses 2. To determine the effects of different dietary oils on the blood lipoprotein profile of horses
Project Methods
1. A crossover design will be used with four feeding trials. Four diets will be tested 2. Gastric ulcers will be assessed using established scoring systems and endoscopic techniques 3. Blood lipoproteins will be isolated using sequential ultracentrifugation
