Nourishing Taney County: Enhancing Food Access is a community-focused initiative led by Christian Action Ministries to enhance food access and build a resilient food system in Taney County, Missouri. This 18-month project will engage multiple community members and organizations to evaluate local food needs and collaboratively develop solutions that promote well being and food security, especially for low-income and food-insecure residents.

Goals / Objectives
1. Engage the Community: Actively involve community members and stakeholders to establish the project framework and ensure broad participation in planning and execution. A. Establish the framework to ensure success in project execution. B. Convene residents and organizations to participate in the planning effort and further design its components. 2. Increase Understanding of the Local Food System: Foster collective knowledge and awareness of the strengths, gaps, and opportunities within Taney County's food system. A. Examine the local food system through a community food assessment. B. Identify both opportunities and challenges specific to Taney County's food landscape. 3. Create Shared Solutions for Impact: Develop coordinated, community-driven strategies to improve food access, health, and long-term food system resilience. A. Develop a comprehensive local Food Action Plan. B. Build the infrastructure for action and accountability to champion and implement the Food Action Plan.
