Non Technical Summary
The project aims to enhance the undergraduate program by creating new courses and teaching materials tailored for students. The project will develop two courses: one on Bioprocessing and Biofuels, and another on Economic and Environmental Sustainability. These courses will include hands-on learning experiences and use a flipped classroom approach to help students better understand the material and develop critical thinking skills. The project will involve: 1) Defining learning objectives; 2) Planning and creating course content and materials; 3) Testing and refining these materials; 4) Implementing and evaluating the courses. This project will exposestudents to advanced biomanufacturing technologies and the economic and environmental challenges in the food and agriculture sectors. It aims to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills for real-world decision-making.Additionally, this projectcould be used as a model for other institutions, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary education in food and agricultural sciences.
