Non Technical Summary
This proposal seeks to utilize the AHD (1433) formula funding to support critical infrastructure needs at animal research facilities both on- and off-campus as well as personnel, equipment, material and supply needs for AHD scientists. The University of Idaho continues to expand research capabilities in the animal health and disease research arena. Therefore, utilization of the annual allocation as proposed will support Idaho Agricultural Experiment Station supported AHD scientists whose research projects contribute to the majority of our AHD capacity.

1) To support infrastructure needs and safety needs at animal research facilities on- and off-campus. 2) To support personnel, equipment, operating expenses, materials and supplies for Animal Health and Disease contributing scientists.
Project Methods
The IAES director will continue to identify annually personnel, infrastructure, and equipment needs for animal health and disease research related projects both on- and off-campus.
