Goals / Objectives
The objective of WCGALP is to bring together the international genetics community every four years to present and discuss global research. WCGALP is unique in that the focus of the week long congress is on genetic research and technology. The goal of the congress is to provide a forum for discussion of current issues in livestock genetics.
Project Methods
The congress will be held August 17-22, 2014 in Vancouver, Canada. The agenda includes five plenary speakers, 72 mini symposia, contributed papers, and poster sessions. Multiple ARS scientists are involved in the symposia and other papers. Species of interest for ARS are beef, dairy, swine, sheep, and chickens.
