Non Technical Summary
Central State University will provide scholarships for students majoring agriculture and other Ag related programs in the John W.Garland College of Engineering Science Technology and Agriculture (JWG CESTA). The 1890 David Scott Scholarship programwill be implemented in alignment with CSU and JWG CESTA strategic priorities. The scholarship will be used to recruit studentsfrom high schools, Career and Technical centers, and Community Colleges.The 1890 David Scott Scholarships will assist eligible Freshman and Continuing students (2.8 and above) with tuition, room, andboard as needed to complete a degree program in Agriculture and related sciences. Students receiving Financial Aid andscholarships from other sources will be supplemented with funds from the 1890 David Scott scholarship.

Project Methods
• Accepted admission to CSU and enrolled in a JWGCESTA degree program no later than one year after the date of acceptance.• Must indicate as part of the application the desire to complete a 4 yr. degree program offered in JWGCESTA.• Have a minimum cumulative 2.8 grade point average (GPA) at the time of application.• If accepted and enrolled in a 4 yr. degree program in JWGCESTA, the student must attain and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA while receiving scholarship support.• Student must be enrolled and maintain full-time student status at CSU in a degree program of study in JWGCESTA during each semester that the student receives 1890 Scholarship support.
